Responsibilities
Provide customer service to retail store associates, customers, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances and exits, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns
Monitor for suspicious behavior, theft indicators, and policy violations, and report observations to store leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision per post orders
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, disturbances, and property damage, and assist with scene control until help arrives when appropriate
Complete required documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoffs, and communicate security-related information to onsite contacts per site procedures
Qualification
Required
Have 1 or more years of security-related experience
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
A Guard Card or license is preferred
