Responsibilities

Serve as the University’s state side liaison to campus auxiliary organizations and self-support operations, including Associated Students and Chico State Enterprises
Provide executive level leadership, guidance and oversight to support auxiliary and self-support compliance with applicable laws, CSU policies, executive orders, and campus requirements
Provide senior-level leadership in advancing the division of Business and Finance and university strategic priorities
Lead the planning, execution, and assessment of high-impact, cross-organizational initiatives that support Business and Finance and the university’s mission, vision, and long-term goals
Advise and assist auxiliary and self-support leadership in the areas of compliance, procurement, inventory and asset management, fiscal responsibility, internal controls, organizational governance, real estate management, and audit readiness
Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, ensuring that auxiliary operations align with state side expectations while respecting the distinct missions and operational models of each auxiliary organization
Provide leadership in the development, coordination, and execution of Business and Finance’s strategic priorities
Lead high impact projects, drive cross functional collaboration, and ensure that strategic initiatives are aligned with the university’s fiscal goals, the Business and Finance division operations, and university mission; coordinating stakeholders, monitoring progress, addressing risks, and ensuring that strategic efforts are implemented effectively and deliver measurable outcomes

Required

Requires a Bachelor's degree
5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in strategic planning, project management, change management, business operations, and organizational leadership

Preferred

Demonstrated success leading complex, cross functional initiatives in a large organization
Strong financial acumen and experience working with budgets, forecasting, or financial analysis
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship building skills with all operational levels including the executive team
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience in higher education, CSU Auxiliary organizations, or a similarly complex, mission driven organization
