Consulting Automation Engineer

Responsibilities
Performs extensive clinical data analysis, creates documentation of data issues and develops implementation strategies for improving data quality and data standardization
Create, lead, and promote troubleshooting activities
Be a data subject matter expert for assigned automation products/applications/models
Research and become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the interaction of the product with source systems as well as interaction with the business users and business logic
Coordinates information requirements from business partners, project teams and other ITG teams to provide assessment of usefulness, reliability and cleanliness of data from various clinical systems
Possess excellent communication skills to interface with various stakeholders from business consumer to technical staff
Ensures data is prepared and/or presented in proper context within business requirements
Works with clinical source system teams to understand clinical data intent and derive data lineage across business functions and how they impact automation as inputs or outputs
Leads requirements sessions with business partners, project teams, and other ITG teams to provide assessment of usefulness, reliability, and cleanliness of data from various systems
Lead requirements validation and feasibility analysis with respect to data products
Develop high-level and detailed design specification that will enable and support troubleshooting activities
Estimate work effort required in delivering data products
Accurately report issues and status to leadership
Extensive experience leading and contributing to different phases of testing (unit testing, integration testing, performance testing)
Understand the data history requirements from clinical source systems and reporting requirements to develop strategy on maintaining and managing historical clinical data in the clinical data warehouse
Participate in logical data modeling discussions and design reviews of physical data models
Participate in review of defects and data quality issues that are uncovered during the lifecycle of clinical reporting applications
Document clinical data requirements and work with development team to translate these requirements into system requirement specifications
Perform clinical Data Profiling (experience with automated profiling tools is a plus)
Strong analytical and technical skills with ability to analyze issues, assess technical risks, and recommend practical solutions
Incorporated themselves into development teams from design to deployment
Mentor junior members of the team on data analytics concepts as well as HCA data domains
Work on assignments involving the use of various technologies both old and new
Work as part of a team and independently
Lead the performance of simple, moderate and complex troubleshooting / maintenance assignments within the department
Establish and meet due dates
Provide after-hours/on-call support as needed
Resolve simple to complex production support issues
Build strong relationships within department and with other project team members
Identify and implement process improvement measures within the analytics space
Take ownership of responsibilities, working individually or with teams to accomplish goals

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree Required
7+ years of experience in working with MEDITECH Expanse, Cerner, or Epic health information systems Required
4+ years of SQL and data analytics experience required Required
Able to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data from different source systems. Required
Adaptability: Adeptness to learn new assignments, technologies and applications quickly and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Required
Analytics: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve problems
Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills with an ability to interpret and communicate analytical information to both business partners and ITG teams in a clear and concise manner
