Responsibilities
Build and maintain automation solutions using Microsoft suite products and other IPAAS automation platforms
Assist with the implementation of LLM-based copilots and AI-enabled features
Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to identify new opportunities for AI and automation
Help develop and manage datasets from sources such as infrastructure, GIS, and corporate data
Support the creation and maintenance of analytical tools and pipelines to enhance project efficiency
Assist with integrating machine learning models and data analytics into existing engineering and corporate workflows
Support the cleanup and restructuring of an existing SQL-based database
Apply foundational knowledge of SQL and data modeling to improve data quality
Contribute to the development of best practices in visualization to deliver an excellent end-user experience
Create dashboards and embedded visuals using Power BI and advanced visualization frameworks
Develop predictive models and simulations to support decision-making for civil engineering projects and corporate initiatives
Analyze historical and real-time complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and develop innovative solutions to drive strategic decisions
Stay up to date on evolving AI technologies and automation frameworks
Remain informed about the latest data science technologies and trends in civil engineering to ensure innovative solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Will accept relevant experience in lieu of a related degree program
Foundational knowledge of SQL and data structures
Foundational knowledge of Python required
Strong analytical, design, data modeling, and problem-solving skills
Ability to show initiative and work with minimal supervision
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply appropriately to business situations
Ability to listen effectively and seek clarification when needed
Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman's service area (own transportation)
Good people skills and a willingness to interact frequently with end-users is a must. A significant portion of this position is helping end users with problems
Preferred
Interest in automation tools
Exposure to LLMs and AI integration
Microsoft Power BI reports design, development, deployment experience
