BAS Operations Manager

Responsibilities
Manage and supervise daily BAS operations to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Lead and coordinate a team of BAS technicians and engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
Develop and implement maintenance schedules, system upgrades, and troubleshooting protocols to minimize downtime
Collaborate with facility managers, vendors, and other stakeholders to plan and execute BAS projects and improvements
Monitor system data and analytics to identify opportunities for energy savings and operational efficiencies
Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies related to BAS operations
Prepare reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and project progress for senior management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Building Automation Systems or related operational technology
Strong knowledge of BAS protocols such as BACnet, LonWorks, or Modbus
Proven experience in team leadership and project management within a technical environment
Familiarity with energy management principles and building codes
Preferred
Professional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Building Automation Professional (BAP)
Experience with advanced BAS software platforms and data analytics tools
Background in HVAC systems and controls integration
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices related to building automation networks
Experience working in LEED-certified or green building environments
