Responsibilities
Lead all activities related to the launch vehicle/host vehicle integration and launch of our spacecraft
Develop and manage integrated schedules and plans
Own and manage interface control documentation (ICDs) including requirements development and specifications, and verification
Develop launch base safety and operations plans and secure approval from the launch range authority
Develop payload processing facility requirements
Assure transportation for the SV and associated GSE
Coordinate and manage LV/Host integration at the launch base, or host facility
Plan, coordinate and execute day of launch activities with all participating contractors and agencies
Engage with multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts across a wide range of technical and programmatic disciplines
Support launch vehicle selection and compatibility trades when applicable
Become the MSS knowledge base for all launch and launch integration related subject matter
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering
Experience in spacecraft launch operations, flight operations, integration and test, or ground processing operations
This position requires the ability to travel to various launch sites and MSS facilities
Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance
Applicants must be willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance
Preferred
1+ year of program level experience interfacing with program customers and external contractors
Hosted payload integration/operations
2+ years of experience working with space launch community stakeholders including launch base range safety, launch vehicle contractors, host vehicle contractors, launch base processing facilities and US Government space launch organizations
Active clearance U.S. Security Clearance
