OR Support Specialist
Surgical Instrument Service Company (SIS) is currently seeking a motivated team player to fill the position of OR Support Specialist. This role involves preparing, evaluating, and transporting video equipment used in surgical procedures, as well as monitoring equipment operation during surgeries and addressing emergent issues. Ideal candidates should possess experience in perioperative services and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the preparation, evaluation, and transportation of video equipment used in surgical procedures
Set up video equipment according to preference cards, test for proper function, and check for expended materials
Actively monitor equipment operation and function during scheduled surgical procedures
Be available by phone to address emergent issues
Qualification
Required
2 years perioperative or medical experience
Valid basic life support certification from the American Heart Association
Proof of Covid vaccination & recommended boosters
Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations, all with a good attitude
Required to frequently lift and move 10-50 pounds
Expected to stand, sit, walk, bend, talk, hear, smell, see, and operate tools, and controls
Preferred
Experience in sterile processing
Experience as a surgical technician or technologist
Experience in patient care assistance
Experience as a medical transporter
Experience in other perioperative services
