Electrical Engineering Intern
OKSI is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support their electrical engineering team. The role involves assisting in design, development, testing, and documentation of electronics for embedded and instrumentation systems under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Responsibilities
Support electrical design and development activities including basic circuit analysis, prototyping, and testing under engineer supervision
Assist with integration of electrical components, sensors, and subsystems into larger hardware platforms
Support lab activities including test setup, data collection, and basic troubleshooting
Assist with validation and debugging of electrical systems and components
Help prepare and maintain technical documentation such as schematics, wiring diagrams, test procedures, and engineering notes
Participate in design discussions, reviews, and cross-functional meetings as appropriate
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and systems engineers on development efforts
Support field testing, internal evaluations, or demonstrations as needed
Follow established engineering processes, safety procedures, and quality standards
Perform other engineering-related tasks as assigned based on project needs and experience level
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
Foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles such as circuit analysis, electronics, or embedded systems through coursework or projects
Exposure to lab work or academic projects involving electrical systems
Basic familiarity with electrical test equipment such as multimeters or oscilloscopes
Ability to follow technical instructions and work effectively in a team environment
Comfortable working in a lab or hands-on technical setting
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
To comply with U.S. Government export control regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. person as defined by law
Preferred
Exposure to circuit design or simulation tools such as Altium, KiCad, LTspice, MATLAB, or similar
Familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded systems, or sensors through coursework or projects
Experience supporting testing or troubleshooting activities in a lab environment
Interest in aerospace, defense, sensing technologies, or embedded AI systems
Familiarity with technical documentation or version-controlled design files
