Responsibilities

Responsible for design, development, and deployment of industrial control and execution systems under the direction of staff level electrical & instrumentation controls engineers
Serve as a technical lead on Electrical & Instrumentation projects, coordinating with controls engineers for Automation, Robotics & Vision, and SCADA to assure all technical requirements are met on budget and on schedule
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced electrical & instrumentation controls engineers
After escalation from our sustaining team, provide electrical & instrumentation support for the production operations and maintenance departments, including troubleshooting controls, electrical issues, and problem resolution as they relate to equipment and process downtime, throughput improvement, and/or any safety concerns
Rotating on-call responsibilities for off-hour escalations from our sustaining team
Work directly with equipment vendors to assure they are following Form Energy Equipment Standards to deliver quality control systems, including executing FATs at vendor sites and SATs at Form Factory 1
Execution of internal projects, as directed by staff controls engineers, including development of electrical schematics, instrumentation selection, and functional safety design and integration with PLCs, Robotics, Vision, SCADA, and MES
Utilize input from production, maintenance supervisors, operators, vendors, and service providers to provide troubleshooting assistance and make improvements
Responsible for following and assuring team members comply with all Safety and Environmental policies and procedures

Required

6+ years of experience working on automation and/or electromechanical systems
Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Controls/Mechatronics or equivalent experience
Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal
PLC Programming and Troubleshooting
Siemens TIA-Portal (Required, basic knowledge)
Rockwell Studio 5000 (Required, basic knowledge)
AutoCAD Electrical Design (Required, execute independently)
SolidWorks Design (Required, execute independently)
Review/Redline/Read Electrical Schematics (Required, execute independently)
Troubleshoot (Required, execute independently)
Functional Safety (ProfiSafe, CIP Safety, Hardwired)
Electrical and Hardware selection and design (Required, execute independently)
Siemens ProfiSafe and Safety Programming (Required, basic knowledge)
Rockwell CIP Safety and Safety Programming (Required, basic knowledge)
FANUC DCS Programming (Required, basic knowledge)
Review Electrical, Hardware, and Programming (Required, execute independently)
Troubleshoot (Required, execute independently)
iba (Required, with supervision)

Problem-solving
Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to troubleshoot and repair controls components (Required)
