Senior Project Architect (LSNA)

Responsibilities
Lead architecture teams from Concept Design through Construction
Provide technical support to Jacobs Architecture Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
Develop feasibility studies, concept designs, and masterplans
Work directly with clients
Ensure compliance with building codes and construction detailing
Coordinate with in-house engineering disciplines
Take design concepts and develop necessary construction documentation
Organize and lead an architectural team through the project process
Perform construction administration activities including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals
Prepare field observation reports and punchlisting
Balance multiple priorities and coordinate work with engineering disciplines and specialty consultants
Supervise the work of other design professionals
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in client presentations
Work in Revit with an understanding of BIM deliverables
Utilize proficiency in Navisworks, Revizto, MS Office, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam Revu
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher–level degree from an accredited Architecture school
Minimum of 20 years of applicable professional experience
Licensed architect
Experience organizing and lead an architectural team through the implementation of the project process – from design through construction
Technical knowledge with a solid understanding of construction detailing and constructability, as well as specifications
Advanced understanding of structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and other building engineering systems and their interrelationships
Command of building codes and other regulatory requirements
Experience performing construction administration activities – responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, preparing field observation reports, and punchlisting
Ability to coordinate within a multi-disciplinary team structure
Willingness to work remotely and engage virtually with team members in different geographic locations
Ability to effectively balance multiple priorities; coordinating work with engineering disciplines and specialty consultants; independently as well as collaboratively
Experience supervising the work of other design professionals
Strong interpersonal skills – speaking, writing, listening, including client presentation skills
Ability to work in Revit with advanced understanding of developing construction documentation deliverables through use of BIM
Proficiency in Navisworks and Revizto
Proficiency with MS Office, and PowerPoint, and Bluebeam Revu
United States Citizen
Preferred
Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing projects
Familiarity with LEED and / or sustainable strategies
Involvement in professional and /or community associations
Business development and marketing experience
Ability to contribute to the development of new ideas, techniques, and standards
