Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients, associates, and shoppers by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances and exits, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and conditions
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and requesting assistance from management and/or public emergency services when needed
Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, observe for potential policy violations and/or suspicious behavior that may help to deter theft and other unwanted activity, and provide a visible presence
Complete security-related reports, shift logs, and incident documentation, and communicate key information to on-site personnel and Allied Universal leadership during shift transitions
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license in the state in which the job is located is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
