Responsibilities
Analyze end-to-end insurance business processes and systems
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities
Support initiatives across policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, and customer service systems
Recommend system and process improvements aligned with regulatory and business requirements
Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions
Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements
Create functional specifications, use cases, process flows, and data mappings
Ensure requirements are clear, complete, testable, and traceable
Act as liaison between business users, IT, product owners, developers, QA, and vendors
Support teams through the full SDLC
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, UAT, and defect resolution
Develop and maintain BRDs, FRDs, process flow diagrams, user guides, and training materials
Ensure documentation meets internal standards and insurance regulatory guidelines
Qualification
Required
12+ years overall experience as a Business Analyst
Minimum 5–7 years working in the Insurance domain (MANDATORY)
Candidates without insurance domain experience will not be considered
12+ years as a Business Analyst
5–7+ years of hands-on experience in the Insurance domain
Experience working with multiple enterprise systems and integrated platforms
Hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud (MANDATORY)
Strong experience documenting functional specifications and end-to-end process flows
Excellent communication skills – ability to represent in business and senior leadership meetings
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
Preferred
Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall environments
Working knowledge of Oracle or SQL Server
Exposure to .NET, Java, or Salesforce platforms
Experience with Visio or BPMN tools
Familiarity with BI, reporting, and data analysis tools
UAT support and QA collaboration experience
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
