Responsibilities
Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining web and application-based software solutions
Support enhancements and bug fixes for existing platforms and internal tools
Collaborate with the Director of Programs to translate program needs into technical requirements
Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
Participate in code reviews and team problem-solving sessions
Assist with database updates, integrations, and basic reporting tools
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices relevant to nonprofit and education-focused applications
Coordinate with Vice President of Technology Solutions for Kornerstone on technology strategy, implementation, and management of KGFG platform
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
0–2 years of software development experience (internships or academic projects accepted)
Familiarity with one or more programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#)
Basic experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members
Preferred
Experience with modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue)
Exposure to backend development or APIs
Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
Experience working in an agile or collaborative development environment
Interest in or passion for education, community impact, or nonprofit work
