Responsibilities
Build the foundations for an institutional relations strategy, including developing a system for capturing and compiling details of institutional engagement with UN agencies across Vital’s portfolio of programs and global offices
Support the development of a knowledge management plan, including synthesizing materials and exploring opportunities for shared learning across programs and offices
Conduct desk research and landscape analysis and assessments on potential new areas of work (e.g. mental health) and new strategic partnerships/alliances – especially in the data / digital / AI space
Support the development of impact metrics and reporting systems to monitor progress and track policy and system wins across the global organization. Engage in both quantitative and qualitative analysis and make recommendations on how to translate data insights into actionable strategies
Participate in the design, development and preparation of Vital’s participation in the UN General Assembly in September 2026
Qualification
Required
Graduate student pursuing a Masters in global public health, nonprofit management, healthcare management, international development, global public policy, international affairs, or related field(s)
Excellent organizational skills and ability to successfully manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in an international team environment and with solid interpersonal and communication skills
Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity to learn and understand complex concepts and processes
Understanding of epidemiological methods and study design, as well as solid research, data and statistical skills
Preferred
Familiarity with impact measurement / M&E best practices and experience developing dashboards and visualizations would be a plus
Expertise in qualitative research (in-depth interviews / comparative institutional analyses)
