Vicar Operating is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join their team at VCA Animal Hospitals, where the mission is to prioritize pet health and deliver excellent service. The CSR will be responsible for customer service functions, scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and maintaining the hospital environment.

Responsibilities

Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms

Scheduling and confirming appointments

Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients

Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments

Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions

Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)

Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence

Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside

Required

Experience as a Client Service Representative or in a similar customer service role

Ability to greet visitors and answer telephones professionally

Skills in scheduling and confirming appointments

Ability to present and explain fees, including processing payments

Knowledge in recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions

Ability to answer questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care

Experience in managing medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence

Ability to maintain hospital cleanliness and perform hospital maintenance tasks
