Relationship Manager Assistant Supervisor
Bank of Tennessee is seeking a Relationship Manager Assistant Supervisor to provide supervision and training to Relationship Manager Assistants and support to Market Presidents and other banking professionals. The role involves overseeing loan portfolios, conducting training sessions, and maintaining strong relationships across various banking departments.

Responsibilities
Provide strong mentorship and training program to all RMAs
Work with Senior Operations Officer and Market Presidents to execute operational changes impacting RMA staff
Train new RMAs coming into the role and continue to develop each new and existing RMA
Conduct training for all RMAs as needed
Continuously update RMA training plan
Lead monthly RMA meetings
Grow and develop RMAs to maximize potential for both the employee and the organization
Evaluate and adjust, as necessary, workload assignments to ensure a balance among all RMAs
Conduct regular audits on closed loans to verify RMA accuracy
Serve as the office/department first point of contact by greeting visitors, welcoming and directing them appropriately
Maintain a strong, productive relationship, and assist with problem resolutions, between the Market Presidents, RMs, Business Bankers, PMs, RMAs, Retail, Operations and Credit
Provide support to Relationship Managers, Business Bankers, and Portfolio Managers on a daily basis with administration of their individual loan portfolio
Assist the Relationship Manager, Business Banker, and/or Portfolio Manager in the preparation of loan approval documents as needed
Accurately order attorney work and coordinate loan closings
Complete pre-loan preparation as outlined on commercial loan checklists
Complete loan closing preparation with accurately prepared and reviewed loan documents
Attend loan closings as needed
Provide notary services
Monitor loans on an ongoing basis
Assist clients with service and maintenance issues as needed for the loan relationship
Track and collect exception items
Coordinate the monitoring of payment status of a portfolio with the respective RM
Provide loan payoffs as requested
Open business and consumer checking accounts according to the guidelines outlined in the New Accounts Manual
Accurately create and maintenance RMS records
Order products as needed on checking accounts including checks, debit cards, and online banking
Assist Retail and RMs with tracking daily overdrafts if needed
Assist clients as needed with the changing or maintenance of signers on current business accounts
Assist clients with service issues as needed for wire transfers, stop payments and account transfers
Provide customer support for all Cash Management type products as needed
Select and develop team members by leveraging individual strengths to build a highly productive team
Deliver effective employee onboarding and support ongoing training and development aligned with both employee growth and organizational needs
Facilitate cross-training and professional development to enhance team capabilities and continuity
Empower team members to strengthen confidence, job knowledge, and communication skills, and identify, discuss, and support career and promotional development opportunities
Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and timely feedback to team members through continuous, two-way communication
Establish clear expectations, goals, and timelines while collaborating with the team toward shared objectives
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Actively listen to feedback and address issues or conflicts in a timely and constructive manner
Review and approve timecards and benefit time for direct reports, ensuring appropriate staffing and coverage
Conduct regularly scheduled one-on-one meetings with direct reports
Ensure job descriptions remain current and accurately reflect assigned duties, required skills, and experience to support effective staffing and recruitment
Maintain compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements
Consistently support, uphold and model the organization’s core values and standards
Complete other duties as assigned as determined by management to be reasonable and beneficial
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Possess a desire to lead and develop people
Possess strong communication skills within and outside of the department and organization
Ability to be self-motivated and self-sufficient with minimal management oversight or supervision
Ability to multi-task and change focus quickly without getting stressed or overwhelmed
Ability to think analytically and strategically
Possess acute attention to detail
Ability to be a team player and assist staff with any and all duties as necessary
Ability to consistently display a positive attitude
Ability to read and comprehend documents such as policies and procedures
Possess professional communication skills when dealing with customers and other employees of the Bank
Possess proficient computer skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office applications
Possess knowledge and ability to open and maintain accounts
Possess proficient knowledge of Bank products and services
Preferred
Five years of related experience and/or training preferred
Experience in completing commercial real estate documents preferred
2+ years of management experience preferred
Possess experience in completing commercial real estate documents
