Athena Club is building the next-generation personal care company, and they are seeking a Vice President of Retail Sales to lead their Retail team at their New York HQ. This role involves owning all brick-and-mortar retail revenue and driving strategy, execution, and long-term impact for Athena Club's national retail business.

Responsibilities

Own full retail P&L and deliver annual revenue, margin, and market share targets across national accounts
Serve as the senior executive lead for all major retail partnerships
Define and execute Athena Club’s national retail growth strategy across distribution, assortment, pricing, and promotion
Lead Joint Business Planning, line reviews, and key commercial negotiations with retail partners
Establish performance standards, KPIs, and accountability across the retail organization
Drive alignment across demand planning, supply, and inventory to support scalable retail growth
Oversee in-store merchandising and retail execution to maximize visibility and conversion
Identify and pursue new retail opportunities to expand Athena Club’s footprint
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing retail sales organization
Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Product to ensure profitable, operationally sound growth

Required

8+ years of national retail sales leadership experience in CPG; beauty/personal care strongly preferred
Proven success owning relationships with Target and/or Walmart at the national level
Demonstrated ability to scale a retail business from $25M to $100M+ in annual revenue
Deep expertise in category growth, pricing strategy, trade spend management, and retailer negotiations
Strong financial acumen, forecasting capability, and analytical rigor
Track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams in high-growth environments
Executive presence and ability to represent Athena Club with top merchants and retail leadership
