Sr. Bioinformatics Scientist – Novel Cell Free DNA Applications

Responsibilities

Design and develop novel cell-free technologies and products
Collaborate closely with laboratory scientists to design experiments to develop and evaluate novel applications for cell-free DNA assays
Draw on deep experience with genomics and statistics to model and improve performance of cell-free assays and features
Synthesize large datasets to develop and evaluate new biological and technological hypotheses
Partner with the clinical evidence generation team to ensure the applicability and evaluate the performance of novel assays or feature improvements
Maintain a strong working knowledge of literature covering technological developments in the cell-free DNA and liquid biopsy space
Publish results and present at conferences in exciting areas, including cell-free DNA and cancer genomics

Required

Advanced degree (Ph.D.) in bioinformatics, genomics, or a related field
Extensive experience with cancer genomics
Extensive experience with somatic mutational detection and filtering
Experience with cancer liquid biopsy analysis
Proficiency in the application of statistical methods to genomic applications
Proficiency with at least one common programming language (e.g., Python, R)
A track record of designing and implementing experimental approaches to confirm and elaborate upon findings from complex projects
Experience publishing and presenting scientific results
