Responsibilities
Execute test plans to validate PCIe functionality, performance, and compliance across Gen3/4/5 on new silicon
Assist in initial platform bring-up, debugging PCIe enumeration and link training issues
Conduct initial debug and root cause analysis of PCIe failures, escalating complex issues
Operate PCIe protocol analyzers, exercisers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers for debug
Run and assist in modifying automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance efficiency
Collaborate with design, firmware, and software teams to reproduce, resolve, and document issues
Actively learn and develop expertise in advanced PCIe concepts and validation methodologies
Qualification
Required
2+ years of hands-on experience in post-silicon validation, with direct exposure to PCIe interfaces
Solid working knowledge of PCIe protocols (preferably Gen 3/4/5)
Hands-on experience with PCIe Test & Debug Tools (e.g., PCIe Protocol Analyzers/Exercisers and Oscilloscopes & Logic Analyzers)
Highly talented in C programming
Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Perl, Python)
Basic understanding of CPU architecture
Practical experience setting up hardware in a lab environment
Bachelor's degree & 5 years of related experience; or Master's degree & 3 years; or PhD & 0 years
Preferred
Exposure to high-speed serial protocols (NVMe, CXL)
Familiar with Linux and Windows OS's
