Responsibilities

Support the coordination, preparation, and testing of packaging configurations
Support any activities related to packaging design verification/validation and packaging shelf-life documents per FDA guidelines
Support packaging improvement projects to achieve project timelines
Collaborate with external partners such as suppliers and test laboratories to ensure timely and compliant execution of packaging activities
SME for Regulatory Gap Assessments and maintaining packaging specific SOPs and WI
Assist in maintaining Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO Compliance
Uphold and embody AirLife’s values in all aspects of work
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in daily work; look for ways to improve and promote quality & safety
Inspire the trust of others; treat people with respect and dignity and embrace the value of diversity
Use time efficiently; perform job accurately, thoroughly, and conserve Company resources to improve profits
Contribute to building and maintaining a positive team environment
Assure all policies and guidelines are implemented and followed

Required

Knowledge of the packaging design and development processes used for medical devices
Experience with packaging engineering standards, test methods and ISO requirements
Experience in packaging or labeling in a medical device or similar regulated industry
Proficiency with standard computer software
Displays effective written and verbal communication skills as well as active listening skills
Knowledge of CAD software is required
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (must have the ability to obtain a passport)
Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or other engineering discipline; typically two (2) or more years in packaging development experience

Preferred

Experience in packaging engineering within a regulated environment such as food, pharmaceutical or medical device
Experience with SolidWorks
Technical writing skills
