Responsibilities
Design and implement Starburst Data Virtualization solutions within enterprise data architectures
Optimize query performance across multiple distributed data sources
Analyze business requirements and data mapping documents to create test plans and cases
Perform source-to-target reconciliation, validate data loading, and ensure transformation rules are applied correctly
Develop and automate complex SQL scripts for validation (data completeness, consistency, truncation)
Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Octane
Validate HiveQL, HDFS structures, and Hadoop cluster processing
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and ensure data quality
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience
Deep expertise in Starburst
Strong experience across modern data platforms
Design and implement Starburst Data Virtualization solutions within enterprise data architectures
Optimize query performance across multiple distributed data sources
