Responsibilities

Achieving the territory’s sales goals and growing the business by increasing market share, improving product mix, increasing average unit price, sales, volume, mix, and introducing new products
Influencing people who make the specification decisions and have a positive influence on others’ behavior
Assisting architects and designers in writing specifications for Armstrong Commercial Ceilings, Suspension Systems, Architectural Specialties, and wall systems
Interacting with architects, distributors, contractors, and facility managers to influence the specification and purchases of Armstrong Commercial Ceilings and Wall solutions
Tracking projects in SalesForce.com with the Armstrong team members to establish plans for selling Armstrong products and solutions
Growing the business and increasing market share by creating customer value and competitive advantage
Learning and continuously improving through individual and team learning and development initiatives

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Science or a related field and/or experience to commensurate
High school diploma/GED required
5+ years of architectural sales experience
Demonstrated ability and experience to effectively manage multiple relationships and priorities
Ability and experience to plan effectively, both short and long term
Knowledge of specification sales, market segments, customers, contracting, and distribution channels
Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Windows applications
Strong presentation skills

Preferred

Experience with SalesForce.com
Proven success in architectural selling
Knowledge of construction industry
Strong work ethic, desire to learn, and coachable
