Responsibilities

Building high-reliability data pipelines and APIs to connect to dozens of utilities and public energy sources
Architecting databases and ingestion systems for time-series energy data, billing, and telemetry
Designing GCP infrastructure (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Secret Manager) for scale and cost efficiency
Building infra that allows coding agents and AI tools to automate workflows across the stack
Setting up CI/CD, observability, and automation to keep us shipping fast and clean
Documenting, communicating, and collaborating across tech + business — translating your work into impact metrics everyone can understand

Required

Experience building production data systems
Proficiency in Python
Proficiency in TypeScript
Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
Ability to build high-reliability data pipelines and APIs
Experience architecting databases and ingestion systems for time-series energy data, billing, and telemetry
Experience designing GCP infrastructure for scale and cost efficiency
Ability to set up CI/CD, observability, and automation
Strong communication skills to explain technical work to both engineers and executives
Ability to work independently and deliver results without handholding
Familiarity with startup environments and adaptability to changing priorities
Ambition and a strong desire to make an impact
