Director of E-Commerce
Simply Protein for Pets (SPFP) is a leading provider of high-protein, natural pet nutrition solutions. The Director of E-Commerce will manage and optimize SPFP’s digital retail and marketplace businesses, focusing on platforms like Amazon and Chewy to drive performance and growth.

Responsibilities
Own day-to-day performance across Amazon, Chewy, Walmart.com, and other marketplaces and DTC channels
Manage digital shelf fundamentals: assortment, pricing, availability, content quality, and compliance
Partner with Sales, Operations, and Finance to align inventory, forecasts, and promotions
Ensure accurate execution of retailer-specific requirements, content standards, and operational workflows
Plan, execute, and optimize retail media across Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Chewy Ads, and more
Manage agency partners and/or hands-on campaign execution depending on channel and scale
Own performance against KPIs including ROAS, TACoS, CVR, revenue growth, and contribution margin
Drive marketplace growth through listing optimization, A+ content, PDP improvements, and SEO
Partner with Creative and Brand teams to brief and deploy high-performing marketplace creative
Support new SKU launches with platform-specific go-to-market plans
Monitor competitive dynamics, pricing pressure, and category trends across platforms
Champion innovation in data, analytics, technology, and paid media, testing new channels, formats, and platforms with disciplined rigor
Cultivate deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape to fuel strategic decision-making and brand growth
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Science, or related field
7-10 years of experience growth, performance marketing, or digital revenue leadership experience, ideally within pet, CPG, or marketplace-driven consumer brands
Proven track record scaling paid acquisition and retention programs with meaningful budget ownership (7-figure annual spend minimum)
Demonstrated success improving CAC, LTV, and contribution margin through structured experimentation, rigorous attribution, and creative optimization
Deep expertise in performance channels (social, affiliate/influencer, CRO) and marketplace platforms (Amazon, Chewy, Walmart.com, TikTok Shop)
Hands-on experience building attribution models, marketing mix frameworks, incrementality testing, and portfolio-based budget allocation
Strong analytical and financial fluency, with experience building growth models, forecast outcomes, and partnering closely with finance on ROI and payback frameworks
Passion for brand building alongside performance discipline, with ability to balance quantitative rigor with creative judgement and consumer insight
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills at all levels
Deep passion for pets, nutrition, and the mission of improving pet wellness through better protein solutions
Rigorous attention to detail, with ability to dive into tactics and zoom out to strategy
Constant curiosity and orientation towards learning, both individually and as a leader
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with focus on frameworks and data to drive decision making
