Payroll Analyst 2
The University of California, Riverside is a diverse research university located in Southern California. They are seeking a Payroll Analyst to provide payroll-related services, oversee payroll processes, and assist with data analytics for auditing and process improvements.

Responsibilities
Provides payroll-related services including but not limited to onboarding, off-boarding, payroll oversight, payroll auditing, time reporting, position management, personnel updates, leave balances, etc
Works with internal and external departments as well as SSC departments to gather information to communicate the accurate entry of information of bi-weekly and monthly payroll processes for both staff and academic faculty
Provides data analytics for auditing purposes, to assist in trends and process improvements
Responsible for monitoring UCPath inquiries and escalated inquiries
Works on complex payroll issues provide guidance as payroll subject matter expert (SME)
Assists with the approval of UCPath entries (AWE) under the guidance of the Payroll Director
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
2 - 4 years of related experience
UCPath experience
Working knowledge of organizational processes, procedures, and understands organizational rules and regulations
Demonstrated judgment and decision-making skills; verbal, written and active listening communication skills
Uses interpersonal skills and service orientation skills in interactions with customers and colleagues
Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Problem solving, problem identification and reasoning skills
Intermediate mathematical skills
Preferred
Working knowledge of many payroll processes, policies, and procedures; knowledge of organization-specific computer application programs
