New Grad, Entry LevelOmni Hotels & Resorts is opening a new hotel in Fort Lauderdale, offering a range of amenities and event spaces. They are seeking a Kitchen Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial kitchen equipment and ensuring all work requests are handled efficiently.

Responsibilities
Schedule and perform preventive maintenance (PM) on commercial kitchen equipment
Repair and maintain all commercial kitchen equipment including stove tops, ovens, hot boxes, and small appliances
Operate and maintain low-pressure boilers for the hot water system
Maintain and repair dish washing equipment
Complete all assigned work orders and daily tasks promptly
Maintain correct stock/inventory of kitchen parts and communicate when replenishment is needed
Respond to all requests
Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs
Keep all work areas clean
Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation
Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures
Qualification
Required
Previous maintenance experience required; hotel experience preferred
Knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage controls, plumbing, and gas systems
Experience in reading and interpreting schematics
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, computer proficiency, and a focus on guest satisfaction are essential
Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift
Must work indoors and outdoors including during extreme weather conditions
May be asked to be part of 'ride-out' crew during severe weather events
Must be able to work using ladders, scissors, and aerial lifts
Preferred
Commercial kitchen experience preferred; commercial refrigeration experience is a plus
