Responsibilities
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc
Define and develop software for tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems
Provide technical leadership to other software developers
Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs
Lead major projects and have significant participation in design and architecture
Act as a technical leader on your team and demonstrate core values for other more junior engineers
Demonstrate strong coding skills and a deep understanding of distributed systems
Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications
Take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
15+ years experience delivering storage systems
Proven experience with a major Object Oriented Programming language such as Java or C++
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
Very strong knowledge of databases, storage and distributed persistence technologies
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
Preferred
Cloud experience is a plus

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
