Clinical Outcomes and Quality Data RN Specialist II

Responsibilities
Collect, enter and review clinical data from medical records and databases
Analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement
Prepare reports and presentations on clinical outcomes and quality metrics
Collaborate with data analysts to ensure accurate data collection and reporting
Monitor compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements
Educate healthcare staff on national benchmarking, principles and best practices
Develop educational materials and resources for staff as needed
Present at workshops and seminars on clinical outcomes and quality metrics
Provide requested data to staff for quality improvement efforts is partnership with the clinical teams
Attend regularly scheduled meetings/conferences hosted by the national registry organization
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to inform clinical outcomes
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
Coordinate with other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care
Provide updates on quality metrics and improvement initiatives
Develop and implement quality improvement programs
Conduct audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical practices
Identify and prioritize areas for improvement based on data analysis
Work closely with clinical teams to implement evidence-based best practices
Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to registry standards
Implement policies and procedures to maintain data governance compliance
Report any compliance issues to senior management
Stay updated on changes in healthcare laws and regulations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
3 years of clinical nursing experience with a focus on quality improvement
Relevant education or experience may be substituted as appropriate
Preferred
Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Clinical Informatics
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Nursing Informatics Certification
5 years of experience in clinical outcomes and quality data management
Benefits
Retirement Plan Eligibility: The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
