Responsibilities

Partner with executive leadership to continuously refine Coro California's revenue and partnership strategy as the organization evolves
Supervise and develop the Vice President of Growth, Senior Director of Development, and Manager, Alumni Engagement & Partnerships to ensure alignment, collaboration, and high performance
Provide the CEO with clear data, insights, and recommendations to inform external strategy and relationship prioritization
Prepare dashboards, analyses, and materials for board reporting and revenue oversight
Design and implement an integrated statewide revenue system connecting philanthropic fundraising, corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and earned income
Build and maintain a development function that effectively manages:
Prospecting and pipeline management
Forecasting and revenue modeling
Stewardship, renewal, and partner lifecycle management
Reporting and accountability
Lead adoption, optimization, and disciplined use of CRM and data systems to ensure transparency, consistency, and cross-functional alignment
Partner closely with the CEO, COO, Chief of Staff, and Chief Program Officer to align revenue targets with budgets, staffing plans, and organizational dashboards
Establish regular team cadences (pipeline reviews, forecasting meetings, performance check-ins) to maintain momentum and accountability
Ensure seamless handoffs and coordination across development, growth, programs, and finance to deliver a strong partner experience
Identify, cultivate, and advance high-impact strategic partnerships that support:
Program funding and expansion
New or expanded earned revenue opportunities
Cross-sector collaborations and institutional partnerships
Serve as a relationship manager for priority partners, donors, and institutions, in close coordination with the CEO
Translate organizational strategy and programmatic strengths into compelling partnership propositions
Support and coach revenue leaders and staff in cultivation strategy, partner engagement, and closing
Actively surface new partnership opportunities by scanning the external landscape and connecting Coro's assets to emerging needs and funding trends
Work with program leaders to co-design partnership-aligned offerings that are fundable, scalable, and mission-aligned

Required

Passion for Coro's mission and commitment to nonpartisan, cross-sector partnerships
At least 10 years of senior leadership experience in fundraising and partnership building, integrating multi-channel revenue strategies in complex, mission-driven organizations
Experience closing, or teeing up the closing, of 6-7 figure gifts and managing a portfolio of $5M+ per year, with a track record of successful fundraising, including philanthropic and earned income
Knowledge of, and experience with, multi-channel strategies and approaches to revenue generation, including earned income, philanthropic fundraising, and participant recruitment
Track record of building and scaling new systems and strategies with an eye for continuous improvement and ongoing innovation
Ability and strong track record of building and fostering strong relationships with partners and prospective funders
Brings a data-driven approach to decision-making
Strong operational and project management skills
Effective verbal and written communication across varied audiences, including internal staff, board members, donors, and other external stakeholders
