Overnight Engineering | HVAC

Omni Hotels & Resorts is opening a new hotel in Fort Lauderdale, and they are seeking an Overnight Engineering professional to maintain and repair HVAC equipment. Responsibilities

Schedule and perform preventive maintenance (PM) on HVAC equipment
Maintain and repair all HVAC equipment in the building including guest rooms, public areas, meeting rooms and parking garage
Monitoring and operation of BMS (Building Management System)
Work on other equipment as needed
Maintain correct stock/inventory of HVAC supplies and filers and communicate when replenishment is needed
Respond to all requests
Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs
Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation
Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures
Keep all work areas clean

Qualification

Required

EPA universal licenses are required
Previous HVAC maintenance experience required
Knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage controls, plumbing, and gas systems
Experience in reading and interpreting schematics
Requires general computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel and ability to learn other related engineering programs
Must be organized and mechanically inclined with strong desire to learn building mechanics
Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests
Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift
Must work indoors and outdoors including during extreme weather conditions
May be asked to be part of 'ride-out' crew during severe weather events
Must be able to work using ladders, scissors, and aerial lifts
