Director of Social and Emotional Learning
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northwest Suburbs is seeking a Director of Social Emotional Learning to lead the strategy and implementation of a comprehensive SEL approach. The role focuses on ensuring that members feel supported and empowered, working collaboratively with various stakeholders to enhance youth development.

Responsibilities
Build & Lead the SEL Vision Develop and manage a robust SEL Strategic Plan that strengthens organizational culture, Club site climate, behavior supports, wellness, positive mindsets, and a sense of belonging
Drive High-Quality SEL Programming Identify, implement, and evaluate effective resources including trainings, curricula, and assessment tools to meet goals and continuously improve outcomes
Champion Collaboration Partner closely with school districts, SEL staff, principals, counselors, community agencies, and service providers to create aligned, student-centered supports
Support Members Who Need It Most Identify members in need of additional support and help coordinate collaborative plans with families, educators, and support teams to elevate success
Develop & Empower Staff Work with senior leadership to design trainings, coaching, and assessments for staff, mentors, and volunteers ensuring SEL strategies are implemented
Lead & Grow the SEL Team Hire, supervise, coach, and evaluate SEL team members
Measure What Matters Partner with the Director of Grant Operations to track, report, and deliver SEL outcomes tied to grant requirements
Qualification
Required
Empathetic, collaborative, and trauma-informed leader
Believes that belonging, emotional safety, and whole-child development are essential to youth development
Experience in leading the strategy, design, and implementation of a comprehensive Social Emotional Learning (SEL) approach
Knowledge of the CASEL Framework and trauma-informed best practices
Ability to develop and manage a robust SEL Strategic Plan
Experience in identifying, implementing, and evaluating effective resources including trainings, curricula, and assessment tools
Ability to partner closely with school districts, SEL staff, principals, counselors, community agencies, and service providers
Experience in identifying members in need of additional support and coordinating collaborative plans
Ability to design trainings, coaching, and assessments for staff, mentors, and volunteers
Experience in hiring, supervising, coaching, and evaluating SEL team members
Ability to track, report, and deliver SEL outcomes tied to grant requirements
