Regional Sales Manager Southwest

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, distribution expansion, and flawless field execution within their assigned region while managing distributor performance and ensuring strong retail execution.

Responsibilities
Drive sales performance across key distributors and regional accounts to achieve volume, revenue, and distribution goals
Lead daily and weekly engagement with distributor partners (Tier 2 distributors) to ensure service levels, product availability, and executional excellence in-store
Oversee regional retail activation, ensuring displays, pricing, and promotions are executed according to plan, driving visibility and sell-through
Coach and develop field sales representatives and district managers to enhance their effectiveness and alignment with company goals
Translate the Director of Sales’ strategic vision into actionable, region-specific plans with measurable results
Partner with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure regional alignment on priorities and consistent brand representation
Spend approximately 20% of time actively in-store—building relationships, supporting the team, and driving execution
Qualification
Required
Detail-oriented project owner, with strong attention-to-detail and a high workload capacity
Passionate Sales Executive with classic 'best-in-class & quality mentality' sales and sales management training and track record of success at a reputable beverage manufacturer
Ability to develop an analytical sales system, sales planning tools and sales management tools from scratch to a national level
Demonstrated success building a brand or brands in a high growth category
Proven success working hand-in-hand with Marketing to drive sustainable brand growth
Strong communication skills, entrepreneurial work ethic, integrity, initiative and 'can-do' attitude
Must be located in Southern California
Minimum of 5 years' sales leadership experience, leading teams of sales associates in understanding the grocery, natural/specialty for naturally distributed branded products
Minimum of 3 years working with large scale beverage DSD network
Minimum bachelor's degree in business or related field
Must have valid CA driver's license
Must be willing to travel 50% of the time in specified region, and work weekends at trade shows as needed
Willing and able to complete a background check and drug screening
Preferred
Experience in refrigerated products
Experience partnering with distributor personnel at multiple levels to include Sales Rep, District Manager level, and branch leadership
Success and experience with new DSD launch is a plus
