Responsibilities

Develop and implement the overall North America regulatory strategy to secure and maintain product registrations and marketing approvals for a portfolio of agricultural pesticides (active ingredients and end-use products)
Align the North America regulatory strategy with the global active ingredient and end-use product strategy
Serve as the primary strategic regulatory expert and leader for North America, providing proactive guidance to senior management, R&D, commercial, and legal teams on current and emerging regulations, including FIFRA (Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act) and Canadian PMRA requirements
Oversee and ensure full regulatory compliance with all North American federal and state requirements across the entire product life cycle, from R&D through to commercialization and product stewardship
Identify and assess regulatory risks and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies and providing regulatory intelligence to support business planning and new product development decisions
Direct and manage the preparation, submission, and defense of high-quality regulatory dossiers, applications, and reports to regulatory bodies, such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) in Canada
Serve as the key company representative and primary point of contact for negotiations, meetings, and interactions with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and relevant external stakeholders
Oversee product labeling to ensure compliance with regulatory standards while meeting commercial objectives
Lead, mentor, and manage the North America Regulatory Affairs team, fostering a culture of regulatory excellence, compliance, and professional development
Establish and manage the Regulatory Affairs budget, resource allocation, and project priorities
Oversee the effective use of 3rd party consultants and contract research organizations (CRO’s) to support registration studies and dossier preparation
Participate in relevant Task Forces regarding company's portfolio, ensuring the interests of the business are supported
Proactively support and direct on time execution of relevant global initiatives within the Region

Required

Ph.D., or Master's Degree with 10+ years Agriculture Chemical experience in the sciences, product registration and regulatory affairs in North America
12+ years of experience in working directly with the U.S. EPA and/or PMRA
4+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing a team of regulatory professionals
Proven track record of successfully obtaining and defending product registrations with the U.S. EPA and/or PMRA
In-depth, working knowledge of FIFRA and its implementing regulations, as well as state regulations
