Responsibilities
Lead and support vendor product test capability as the company expands
Design and build production test solutions, define test regimes, and integrate testing into vendor product acceptance process
Define and maintain hardware QA standards, test coverage criteria, and acceptance gates
Support Quality KPI’s regarding first-pass yield targets for finished modules and integrated assemblies
Integrate lessons learned from field technical teams based on discoveries and root cause analysis for performance issues
Be part of the Engineering Change Order (ECO) review team to provide input into new product evaluations, introductions, and changes
Analyze metrics, troubleshoot hardware and firmware, and improve system reliability
Collaborate with vendor and internal firmware teams to validate boot, update, logging, and fault-handling behavior
Write and manage test scripts, design fixtures, and document best practices
Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for system validation, including data collection, logging, and analytics for test results, yields, and failure trends
Provide guidance to production technicians and engineering colleagues on test setup operations
Streamline/Centralize process integrating HW products across BUs (Process has already started but need to make it run smoothly)
Manage warehouse team’s pick/pack/ship process
Work with SW/FW team team to streamline provisioning process
Collaborate with Installation team to optimize and ensure installation kits
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with 7+ years in hardware testing, including 2+ years testing complex technology in R&D or production
Expertise in developing manufacturing tests for devices like IoT solutions, vehicle bus networks, wiring harnesses, A/V modules, with proficiency in PCBA-level testing and debugging complex systems interfacing with vehicle sub-systems
Comfortable using command-line tools on Linux OS for diagnosing issues and improving test-related tasks
Experience in fast-paced environments, collaborating cross-functionally to solve integration problems and lead or follow within diverse teams
Familiarity with automotive protocols (e.g., CAN), hardware interfaces, industrial harness connections, and hardware test frameworks
Ability to interpret electrical diagrams/schematics and mechanical systems for diagnostics and repairs
Ability to write clear measurable test plans and effectively document processes; strong communication skills; committed to safety with sound judgment for operations in diverse environments
Experience in simplifying and leverage automation so we don't need to coordinate w/ back-office for activation
Preferred
Hands-on experience with vehicle telematics, including installation setup, troubleshooting, and integration
Background in a production-facing role, ensuring smooth vendor acceptance processes, quality control, and efficient workflows to meet operational goals
Experience with A/V assembly, testing procedures, and performance validation, including diagnosing failures and optimizing reliability
Experience validating telematics integration across ICE, hybrid, and EV platforms, including signal interpretation, power management, and vehicle state awareness
Strong ability to anticipate potential failures, implement real-time monitoring strategies, and develop preventive measures to enhance system reliability and uptime
Familiarity with OTA update validation, rollback testing, and failure recovery; Including awareness of hardware security concepts (secure boot, certificates, tamper detection)
Experience managing vendor interaction and project planning/coordination with warehouse teams
