Responsibilities
Understanding and following policies, procedures, and instructions
Identifying and reporting product, process, and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel
Controlling nonconforming products, containment of all suspect parts
Supporting implementation of corrective/preventive and improvement actions
Proper use of personal protective equipment when required
Responsible for daily Housekeeping within the department and surrounding work area
Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures including the proper use of personal protective equipment where required
Performs electoral tests such as Automotive, DC, GC, Scrubber, and AGM
Quality checks of cured plates
Quality audits and first piece inspections of manufacturing processes
Battery tear down analysis and documents results of Scrap batteries. Includes AGM autopsy
Maintains flexibility to meet variable work hours for training, process evaluation and troubleshooting
Data entry using excel/work to produce numerous quality reports
Evaluates and reports accountability of shop batteries
Performs incoming inspection on oxide shipments, truck receiving procedure, and oxide testing
Performs basic calibration tasks
Responsible for generating daily reports, emails, etc
Be familiar with and complaint with the systems, procedures, and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives
Qualification
Required
Must be 18 years of age
Experience with safety and environmental training
1 year of Factory/manufacturing experience
Required to attend 12 hours of classroom training outside of Crown Battery
