Responsibilities
Receives predetermined work assignments that are subject to a moderate level of control and review
Directs subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies
Works on issues of limited scope
Requires full knowledge of facilities management and purchasing
Oversees and participates in more complex design and construction projects and complex purchasing orders and contracts
Supervises two facilities staff and three purchasing coordinators
Qualification
Required
Working knowledge of the organization's processes and procedures, rules and regulations
Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs
Interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising, and counseling to effectively motivate others
Skills to evaluate issues and identify resolutions
Strong service orientation with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
Supervisor skills to lead a purchasing and facilities group ensuring adherence to campus practices, policies and guidelines
Knowledge of building and construction, design, construction contract administration and state building codes
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
3-5 years relative experience in Procurement and Facilities
1-3 years supervision
