Fixed Asset/Property Accountant
CFS is a stable energy infrastructure platform seeking a Fixed Asset/Property Accountant to support regulated midstream assets. The role involves maintaining and reconciling fixed asset and property accounting records, assisting with regulatory compliance, and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and property accounting records for regulated midstream entities
Prepare monthly recurring and adjusting journal entries related to capital assets and property costs
Support asset additions, retirements, transfers, depreciation, and capitalization activities
Perform quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner
Assist with rate case cost of service schedules and regulatory data requests
Support quarterly and annual FERC filings (Forms 3Q, 2 & 2A – assigned pages)
Ensure fixed asset and property data aligns with regulatory reporting requirements
Provide asset and property data to U.S. Planning & Cost Accounting for budgets and forecasts
Deliver information to the Income & Property Tax teams
Respond to external and internal audit requests
Identify and implement process improvements across fixed asset and property workflows
Support special projects and provide backup coverage as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience in fixed asset, property, or project accounting (energy, construction, or regulated environments a plus)
Strong reconciliation and journal entry experience
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
Excel proficiency; ERP and fixed asset modules a plus
