They are seeking a Social Media Manager to develop and execute a cross-platform social media strategy to drive audience growth and commercial impact through creative and data-informed content.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a cross-platform social media strategy aligned with Harper’s BAZAAR’s editorial vision, audience growth goals, and revenue priorities
Lead day-to-day social publishing across Instagram, TikTok, X, Pinterest, and emerging platforms, including content planning, scheduling, voice, and optimization
Partner closely with Fashion, Beauty, Culture, Video, Commerce, and Audience Development teams to support launches, campaigns, fashion moments, and tentpole events
Analyze performance across platforms and apply insights to refine content strategy, timing, and audience targeting
Oversee workflows, freelancers, and junior editors to ensure speed, consistency, and high-quality execution aligned with brand voice
Collaborate with branded content, affiliate, and marketing teams to ensure social strategy supports commercial and partnership objectives

Required

Experience managing social media for a major brand, media company, or fashion/luxury publisher, with a strong track record of growth and engagement
Deep understanding of platform-specific strategy, particularly across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging social channels
Strong editorial judgment with the ability to translate fashion, beauty, and culture into compelling social-first storytelling
Comfort using analytics and performance tools to inform strategy and optimize results
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience partnering across editorial, video, and commercial teams
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom environment
This role operates on a hybrid schedule and requires being in the New York City office 4 days per week
