Responsibilities
Overseeing system maintenance and enhancements projects related to finance and revenue accounting functions
Designing and executing user acceptance test plans
Examining the revenue accounting systems for a presence of program defects and shortcomings and other user experience issues
Working with IT, Decision Support, business users and any other departments as needed to support the development and implementation of new business practices
Identifying assigned projects' scope, planning the required activities, executing the testing phase and producing quality test results
Meeting projects' timelines, performing the required post implementation activities and providing effective support to the business user
Collaborating with business stakeholders, software developers and project support teams to determine project scope and requirements
Designing, reviewing and implementing user acceptance test plans
Performing all testing activities related to revenue accounting software to ensure the scope of the projects is met and identified defects are corrected
Providing insights on the current functionality of the applications used by the Revenue Accounting and other Finance departments as well as suggesting possible enhancements to these systems
Participating in meetings to understand business requirements and to provide feedback on various aspects of the revenue accounting systems
Reviewing, monitoring, facilitating and organizing revenue accounting systems production deployment activities
Interpreting 'user stories' impacting revenue accounting systems area, creating business cases (defect, maintenance, and enhancement) using specialized software
Providing production support related to revenue accounting applications by analyzing system issues reported by business users and opening support cases using specialized software
Facilitating the revenue accounting data mining activities, providing directions and support to other business units in identifying revenue accounting data sources
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, IT, Accounting, Finance, or related field of study; or any combination of relevant background, skills and experience
At least 3 years of experience in business/financial planning and analysis processes with a working knowledge in accounting principles
Experience in project management on software development projects is a plus
Practical experience in testing of enterprise size financial applications is required
General knowledge of infrastructure requirements and components, SharePoint sites, and networks
Must have strong command of Microsoft Office programs
Experience working with Azure DevOps and/or alternative software development and testing tracking systems
PLSQL queries knowledge
