PROJECT PLANNER I
Duke University is seeking a Project Planner I to support academic projects through project management knowledge and skills. The role involves implementing project management processes, leading team meetings, and developing communication plans to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities
Plan, lead, and facilitate project team meetings
Develop and implement communication plans
Develop detailed task lists and standard operating procedures
Drive project initiation and management activities
Train, manage, and mentor project team personnel
Organize academic-focused events and symposia
Produce documents and presentations
Work with functional managers to resolve schedule and resource conflicts; escalate difficult project issues as appropriate
Perform any other related duties incidental to the work described herein
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Two years of experience in project management, with increasing scope and independence. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to independently drive multiple projects at one time
Demonstrated experience delivering quality project outcomes and meeting project deadlines
Strong problem solving, strategic thinking, and time management skills
Preferred
Additional training in Project Management or related training is desired
Knowledge of higher education administration
Well qualified candidates will have knowledge of Duke's academic structure and resources
