Responsibilities
Develop deep expertise in the company’s payments products and underlying infrastructure
Work directly with platform customers to integrate the payments solution into their products
Support customer integrations hands-on, including occasional travel to customer offices when required
Design, build, and scale backend systems that power high-volume payment flows
Contribute to improving reliability, performance, and extensibility of the payments platform as transaction volume grows
Qualification
Required
5–12 years of experience as a backend engineer or full-stack engineer with a strong backend focus
Proven experience working on payments or payment products within fintech, marketplaces, social platforms, or creator-focused companies
Track record of success in high-growth startup environments (e.g., rapid promotions, significant ownership, or notable impact)
Strong startup or 0→1 mindset; experience in early-stage environments highly valued
Strong proficiency with Ruby on Rails for backend development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working directly with customers on technical integrations
Preferred
Computer Science degree from a highly regarded university (top-tier programs preferred)
Familiarity with Next.js on the frontend
