Responsibilities
Meet with project developers, town and county officials, PSEG Long Island SLT, LIPA’s executive team, and LIPA Board of Trustee committees
Lead negotiator for Tariff-Based Purchased Power Agreements to meet LIPA’s renewable and reliability goals
Lead in development, execution and oversight of Distribution Interconnection Agreements Lead in Small Generator Interconnection Processes
Responsible for management and execution of LIPA Small Generator Interconnection Process, including strategic analyses and develops recommendations for existing facilities including, but not limited to: contract amendments or extensions, fuel conversions, terminations, and Interconnection Agreements
Lead for PSEG LI on the DPS Interconnection Technical Working Group and on the PSEG LI Interconnection Working Group
Develop and file Electric Quarterly Report with FERC on behalf of LIPA Responsible for multiple Regulatory Reporting
Compile and approve SC11 billing invoices and submission of the SC 12 report
Negotiate, Implement and oversee Tariff-Based Purchased Power Agreements
Manage PSEG LI’s Small Generator Interconnection Procedure (SGIP) tariff, for all the distribution projects that interconnect to LIPA service territory
Develop and oversee the administration of PSEG Long Island’s existing and new Feed-In Tariff programs
Develop and file Electric Quarterly Report with FERC on behalf of LIPA
Work jointly with PSEG LI Interconnection Working Group Chair on all matters related to interconnection technical enhancements and Interconnection Working Group deliverables. PSEG LI representative in Interconnection Technical Working Group (ITWG) of DPS
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
10 years of utility industry experience, working for an electric investor-owned or public utility company or independent power producer or as a consultant to a utility or generation company
Understanding of electricity system infrastructure development, including electricity generation technologies and transmission and distributions systems, operations, and engineering
Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required
Preferred
MS, MBA or Similar Advanced Degree
