Account Manager

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing an established book of distributor business across a multi-state territory, focusing on account management, sales growth, and distributor education.

Responsibilities

Achieve annual sales and profitability goals within the assigned territory
Establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with current and prospective distributor partners
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory
Analyze distributor sales performance, product mix, order patterns, and seasonal trends
Develop and implement sales strategies, promotions, pricing programs, and rebate structures
Prepare and conduct distributor meetings, including coordination of product assortments, marketing materials, balloons, and sales reports
Educate distributor sales and customer service teams on Betallic and Sempertex products
Directly manage and partner with a dedicated Sales Support Associate, providing guidance, direction, and support
Work closely with the Sales Support Associate to drive sales growth within lower-level accounts
Collaborate with other Account Managers and Sales Support Associates to execute company initiatives and ensure consistency across territories
Communicate customer needs, concerns, and opportunities to internal teams
Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, Mass Market, Education, Sales Support, and other internal departments to ensure effective execution
Participate in new product development initiatives by providing market and customer feedback
Attend and represent Betallic at distributor meetings, trade shows, and educational events
Travel regularly
Maintain regular communication with Betallic’s Chief Commercial Officer
Manage business expenses responsibly, submit receipts through RAMP in a timely manner, and adhere to company travel and expense guidelines
Represent Betallic professionally and ethically at all times, upholding company standards of conduct

Required

Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or related field
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability and willingness to travel as required

Preferred

Previous experience managing or mentoring support staff
Significant retail merchandising experience is a strong advantage, including product placement and planogram execution
Bilingual skills preferred but not required
Industry experience in party, balloon, or consumer goods is preferred
