Responsibilities
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage the full lifecycle of a variety of commercial contracts across the business, including technology, SaaS, AI and data-related agreements, logistics and supply chain contracts, professional services agreements, NDAs, statements of work, and other commercial agreements
Work closely with legal support staff to ensure all contracts are properly executed, tracked and stored
Work with the company’s information security, digital and e-commerce teams to ensure compliance with relevant data privacy, consumer protection, and related regulations
Collaborate with relevant business teams to address legal issues related to international operations, cross-border vendor relationships, and global expansion
Coordinate with outside counsel on jurisdiction-specific regulatory or contractual matters
Collaborate with internal business teams to develop, implement, review, and maintain company policies and procedures to ensure they align with legal requirements and industry standards
Qualification
Required
J.D. from a top tier law school and strong academic credentials
Admission to the California bar
Five to seven years of relevant transactional experience in big law and/or in-house
Experience negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS or other technology-related contracts
Working knowledge of data privacy and digital compliance frameworks
Exceptional organizational and communication skills, attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Self-starter with ability to balance many projects simultaneously and complete tasks accurately, on schedule (often on tight deadlines) and with minimal supervision
