Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will support the full spectrum of HR operations, ensuring a positive employee experience while handling employee relations, onboarding, benefits coordination, and compliance.

Responsibilities
Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR inquiries, providing timely and professional support
Assist in resolving employee concerns by gathering information, documenting issues, and escalating when appropriate
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with Solvd US values
Support managers with coaching, policy interpretation, and best-practice guidance
Support full-cycle recruiting activities including job postings, screening, interview coordination, and candidate communication
Facilitate new hire onboarding, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience from offer acceptance through orientation
Coordinate offboarding processes, including exit interviews, system access changes, and documentation
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Assist with policy updates, handbook revisions, and compliance audits
Support HR reporting needs, including headcount, turnover, and compliance metrics
Ensure adherence to internal processes and contribute to continuous improvement of HR workflows
Assist employees with benefits enrollment, eligibility questions, and issue resolution
Partner with benefits vendors to address employee needs and maintain accurate records
Support payroll processes by collecting and validating employee changes, timekeeping updates, and documentation
Help educate employees on available benefits and resources
Support performance review cycles, goal-setting processes, and employee development initiatives
Assist managers in documenting performance conversations and improvement plans
Help coordinate training sessions, learning opportunities, and HR-led workshops
Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events
Support HR-related communications, surveys, and feedback loops
Participate in cross-functional projects that enhance the employee experience and strengthen organizational effectiveness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
2–4+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a generalist or multi‑functional HR role
Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration
Familiarity with HRIS systems, reporting tools, and basic analytics
Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport across all levels
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information
Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and propose solutions
Proficiency with HR systems, Microsoft Office, and digital collaboration tools
Collaborative, approachable, and committed to delivering an exceptional employee experience
Preferred
SHRM-CP/PHR certification preferred
Experience with BambooHR a plus
Experience in fast‑paced or high‑growth environments is a plus
