Responsibilities
Lead development programs
Lead co-development projects to develop material specifications and manufacturing processes, complete prototypes, and conduct material property testing based on customer requirements
Provide technical link between the customer and the manufacturing site for new products ensuring effective communication of customer needs
Lead and conduct product development projects using combinations of existing raw materials to meet the demands of a customer application
Ensure all development projects meets cost targets, project timelines and customer expectations for quality and on-time delivery
Develop and implement technical services assisting our customers, sales personnel, customer service personnel, and marketing personnel in the process of screening existing products against specified application requirements
This includes identifying performance deficiencies in current product line relative to identified application requirements using existing performance data as well as defining needed testing
Plan and maintain extrusion trials for development projects to be completed by the AE technician
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree - Material Science, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related field
3+ years of engineering experience within manufacturing
Relevant technical software for: Drawing (i.e. Autocad), Statistical Analysis (i.e. Minitab), Extrusion Flow Simulation
Preferred
Master's Degree - Material Science, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related field
Product Development experience
3+ years experience within Fluoropolymer extrusion
Experience within regulated industry (i.e. food & beverage, medical, pharmaceutical)
