IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN)

Responsibilities
Resolves complex operational problems and ensures highly reliable, available, and responsive Windows or desktop processing environments
Serves as a senior-level System Administrator on a Linux and Windows Client/Server enterprise domain
Develops and implements systems diagnostic and maintenance tools, report on Orders, Mission Essential Tasks (MET) reports, Requests for Information (RFI), EXSUMs, AARs, and other directives from higher headquarters
Evaluates and recommends selection of new systems diagnostic tools including triage to determine ecosystem incidents and ASIs. Manages the installation of software and hardware systems fixes, updates, and enhancements
Installs and configures commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications and software/hardware enhancement products. Works closely with customer officials to ensure seamless and optimal implementation

This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination
In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months
Must undergo and successfully complete periodic Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) for the duration of federal employment and while maintaining access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI)
This a Testing Designated Position (TDP), which may be subject to initial and random drug testing for this position
This position is designated as MISSION ESSENTIAL. Incumbent will be required to report to work or relocate to a new duty location, within the United States, in times of local/national emergency
Employee is subject to recall or call back during off-shift hours, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, if required by upper management
Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating the following competencies appropriate to, or above, the level of this position: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving
In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must possess qualifying experience. To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position
Experience as a senior-level System Administrator in enterprise-level troubleshooting within a Linux/Windows Client/Server domain environment
Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement
There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-13 grade level
