SUPV QUALITY ASSURANCE SPEC

Responsibilities

You will develop and implement the Site's Quality Assurance program and goals
You will interpret broad policy guidance of higher authority into policies and procedures
You will monitor the capability of the builder's processes, audit their in-process execution and inspect the final products produced
You will prepare and coordinate periodic reports on quality assurance function, and recommend actions in support of Quality Assurance related projects

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326

You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101
Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band NH-03 (GS-13) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing guidance and implementing personnel management policies, briefing internal and external stakeholders, to implement and oversee quality assurance programs for shipbuilding and repair
