The Program Manager – Operations is responsible for overseeing daily operations, coordinating training schedules, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients.
Fundraising
Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of service and therapy dog programs
Coordinate schedules for training, evaluations, classes, visits, and graduations
Track program metrics (dogs in training, placements, visits, outcomes)
Ensure program documentation meets grant and accreditation standards
Serve as primary point of contact for applicants and clients
Coordinate pairing, placement, and post-placement follow-up
Work closely with administration to maintain accurate records and communication
Schedule and coordinate therapy dog visits with community partners
Recruit, onboard, and support volunteer handlers
Maintain visit logs, evaluations, and outreach materials
Coordinate ordering and branding of therapy dog vests and handouts
Assign tasks and manage schedules for staff and volunteers
Support outreach, events, partnerships, and donor-related activities
Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership and funders
Represent GYSSD professionally and in alignment with its mission
Meet annual placement and program goals
Uphold ADI accreditation standards
Maintain accurate data and reporting
Ensure clear internal communication and operational consistency
Qualification
Required
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Business
5-10 years experience
Advanced knowledge of computer applications including the Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Ability to produce high quality work in a fast paced environment
Strong phone skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize independently
Excellent time management skills and ability to contribute positively as part of a team
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Punctual with strong attendance history
Ability to navigate and work with all personality types
Must be able to work with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
Preferred
Professional dog training experience
Strong understanding of canine behavior and behavior-modification techniques
