Responsibilities
Lead implementation and sustainment efforts in the area of routine management across all business units at Logan Aluminum (operations and support)
Strengthen continuous improvement efforts through focus on loss eradication (asset losses & system losses) and value creation
Support both sides of the manufacturing excellence Infinite Loop (improve performance & sustain performance)
Lead cross-unit improvement efforts and projects within all three (3) improvement domain horizons: Routine Management, Continuous Improvement, and Strategic Transformation
Focus efforts based on areas of greatest loss and/or greatest value creation opportunity to maximize gains to the business
Share and spread best practices observed between business units through the Strategic Transformation Team network
Perform data analysis and lead / facilitate project execution of multiple improvements simultaneously
Teach and train team members at Logan in areas of expertise, including but not limited to: Routine Management, Logan Capability Pathway, etc
Act as a role model for connecting all improvement work to Logan’s long-term strategic approach (THRIVE)
Success in this role will be based on sustainable improvements made that positively impact OEE performance and reducing manufacturing cost per pound
Provide project guidance and expertise to Support Units in their efforts to achieve their strategic visions for functional business / manufacturing excellence
Focus on execution and identifying opportunities to enhance execution systems at Logan
Integrate the Logan Improvement Framework (Define, Plan, Execute, Sustain) into all improvement efforts
Spend a considerable amount of time engaging on the shop floor and directly with operational business units
Leverage business intelligence systems to drive the importance of data-driven decision making
Qualification
Required
Requires an undergraduate degree in an applicable field or equivalent experience
A minimum of 10 years' manufacturing experience
A general understanding of broad management information systems preferred
Experience working within an operational business unit is beneficial for this role
